Located in Starbuck, MN. We are a specialty coffee shop with expresso drinks, brewed coffee, chai tea, steamers, smoothies, iced coffee drinks and lemonade–slush. We offer a large selection of sandwiches, subs, pizza, salads and panini sandwiches. Dave’s Place features Bridgeman’s ice cream, rents movies and offers film developing. Dave is an avid collector of 50’s and 60’s memorabilia. Much of his collection is on display at the Doo Wop Coffe Shop.

We wish to promote understanding of our Nordic heritage by teaching the folk arts, music, language, needlework and dancing. These were present in our grandmother's and grandfather's lives. We have classes in:

4 – The General Store
The General Store has been in downtown Benson for 15 years, housed in an over one hundred year old building. The antiques, collectibles, new gifts and home decor are arranged with “a harmonious blend of the old and the new”. The store is in the spirit of vintage and modern ideas. Since 1965, the Minnewaska House has been an historical landmark on the Glacial Ridge Trail Scenic Byway. This private museum is open to the public. It houses one of the rarest classic boat collections in the world. Featured also are hundreds of boating artifacts including Mr. Mikkelson’s vintage outboard motor collection and his extensive human powered inboard & outboard motor collection. 24 – Kandiyohi County Historical Society and Museum

This museum features exhibits devoted to Kandiyohi County history including early transportation, Indian artifacts, immigration, and a variety of other exhibits. The museum is the home to the Great Northern Steam Engine No. 2523 which was built in 1916 to speed up the passenger main line service through the mountains. Also, located on the museum site is the Sperry House. The house was built in 1893 and displays turn of the century home life in Kandiyohi County.
